In October of last year, Murphnuge posted a custom cleaver in the "Show me your custom camp knife/chopper" thread...

I have always had a thing for cleavers, but this one really caught my eye. It may have been the jd in the background but at the time, I was pretty sure it was the knife. As time went on, Murph's picture became my desktop and I started to think about it everyday. A month later, Murph posted a thread dedicated to the cleaver...

I couldn't take it any longer so I asked Murph for the maker's contact info and I called him up a few days later.

Fast forward to today...I now have an incredible cleaver thanks to Murph and TM Hunt.
Not only is this an incredible knife, but the process leading up to the completion of this piece has been outstanding. Todd Hunt is a highly skilled knifemaker and an alright guy in my book ;)
If you have a knife in mind but can't find a maker who fits your style, talk to Todd. He is quite adept at covering all sorts of different styles. As Todd says, his style is to have no style in particular.

That is one great looking cleaver! I also dig on cleavers and have a few (13) vintage cleavers. No customs just yet but I one on order with Kingdom Armory.

KA cleavers must be the scariest I have ever seen :eek:
 
Right on about Mr Hunt!He made me a WSK based on one he made for Murph last year:Dcould not ask for better!I also just received my BTB XL Fixed Blade from Kingdom Amory:DEvery thing about these two makers Rock and Props to Murph for turning me on to T.M.Hunt:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
 
Always good to hear from customers! However I think of veesix and sleepy badger as friends. As knifemakers we experience a wide aray of people. Some you want to deal with and some you don't. (You guys know what I mean!) These two are what makes our trait worth the time we put in it. Thank. You guys! Hope to hear from you and more very soon!
 
I gotta tell ya! Any time somebody says that's insane or that maker must be crazy! That is the best compliment that you could possibly give me! Thanx all.
 
Sleepybadger & Veesix, glad to turn others on to Todd's work, it is worthy! Sleepybadger, excellent pix and description of the whole deal. I fondled that cleaver....
