I was doing a search for custom handmade lighters, preferably running on Zippo fluid, and I found this... He also does engraving with various fonts for a fee. Deep CNC engraving.

(( deal-spotting ))

This lighter (solid brass IINM) was shot with 6 rounds of .22lr from an UK distance.

(( deal-spotting )) Still a helluva value for a custom torch. As for weight the all aluminum ones are around 75 grams. The ones with the brass bottom that he has on ebay are around 95. The solid brass models are well over 100. For comparison, a Zippo lighter weighs 67 grams full.

PS... My solid brass lighter will be finished soon. Will post pics.

Damn - that's impressive, but why not just carry a couple of BICS - in different places

Besides, your great grandkids will be gunning their Marlboros with this!

My wife's mom says I can only smoke until I turn 30 (1-1-12) so I'm counting on carrying mine around everywhere I carry a knife and light.

Too bad they are out of stock right now. I'd love to have one and I don't smoke...never have, never will.

Hmmm...maybe I need to order one. Wonder if I can anodize it once I get it? I'd love to have it done hard anodized, like a Surefire light.

Thanks for his email
Brad

The work looks good but the fluid would still evaporate too quickly, like a regular Zippo.
I wonder if he could make a modern Kashie type lighter.
(ex-smoker trying to justify here)

My bad, didn't know posting a non member's info was a nogo.

BTW, to all you regular smokers who use a Zippo, how long does your lighter last you on one fill? I usually top mine off every 2 weeks. Is it me or does the fluid last longer if you use the lighter regularly?

Just do a search for billet lighter.

The biggest trouble is drying out with a Zippo. Regular use, I would top mine off about every other week. If it sat in the air, in the console of my car on a desk etc, it would dry out faster.
