I was reading your acceptance thread and after seeing your credentials thought I would ask (I'm sure you do) if you know Joe Drouin? I had the pleasure of attending a show back a few years that he set up at.If it wasn't for Mr Drouin I would never have had the chance to handle some of the finest custom knives in the world from Scagel to Moran in his extensive collection. To me it was an experiance I will never forget and one that I hope to see again.Mr Drouin is a great spokes person in the knife world for his unselfish and untiring devotion to this great hobby. And for giving people like me a chance to see some of the greatest custom knives first hand.Just got a little nostalgic there for a moment.

Hi Bob,

Yes I know Joe Drouin very well. I had the pleasure of judging the handmade knife competiton with him last year at the Blade Show.

When I first got into custom knives I was amazed at Joe's collection. It was the first time I actually got to see some of Rod Chappel's work in person.

Joe's display actually inspired me to display at show's. Most people have no idea the time it takes to develop and present a great custom knife display, such as Joe's.

For those of you who get the chance at next years Blade Show or Knifemakers Guild show (in New Orleans for the next two years) spend a little time at Joe's display.
