Custom color G10 scales, or just go buy some Delicas in different colors?

So I picked up 3 Delicas when I bought my two sons their first Spydercos (a blue one for the oldest, a Grey one that I swapped with red scales from a trainer for the youngest, and I had to go ahead and pick up a Green one for me). My two sons have always typically gotten red/blue knives (youngest son likes red-scales, oldest likes blue).

But I found myself looking at my green Delica and then liking the blue color of my son's Delica more. I really like the blue FRN (and to be honest, the deeper Blue G10 from the Sage 3) that Spyderco uses (both are beautiful), and I'm also longing for another Orange knife (I own no Orange Spydies).

So I've got more than a few black G10 Spydies (and a CTS-XHP Manix-II in the Sage Green as well as a Digi Para 2). I've considered having some custom G10 scales made for the Superleaf, the PPT, or the Manix-II (or the Native 5 that I should have in the next month or so).

Is it worth it, or should I just pick up a blue and orange Delica (or possibly a Sage 3 - I'm not a huge fan of the Bolt-action, but that knife looks very pretty)?

I like having Unique things, but around here, Spyderco is pretty unique in itself - not a lot of knife nuts nearby.

I also don't know specifically what all my options are for custom scales. I know of a few places, but I really don't want anything fancy - just the normal Spyderco-finished rough 2-D G10.

What say you Spyderco community?

custom scales for one of your blades (iv been drooling over a ppt but am abstaining for the yojimbo2) would be cheaper than buying two delicas/enduras. that being said i am currently waiting on my orange endura to get here so i can swap blades with my waved version. I prefer frn over the g10 usually. but at the end of the day the prices wont be too far apart, i say it hinges on which knife do you like the best/carry the most. that is the one to do work on.

You know - I was actually thinking about that, but it sucks because I usually throw the Para 2 or Sage 1 in my pocket (and I like the digi-cam on the Para 2, so that would require me to pick up another Para 2 to get some different color since I don't like swapping the scales on a regular basis).

To be fair though, the only real reason I don't carry my Delica more is that its Green and I find that I'm just not a fan of the green nearly like I am the blue or orange. Maybe I need to get some Delicas and some custom scales (that might delay some of my other purchases though - I've got a CZ Mallard I'm trying to acquire as well since Duck Season is coming up).

Damn Spyderco and their many choices - they do a good job of keeping me broke (but happy).
