well..well..well..
I hold trio of Owen Wood custom Guntings in my hands..
they use Odin damascus made by Michael Walker for the blades and bolsters..( Mike had to custom make it over 2" wide..then he flew it over from Switzerland and hand delivered it!)
They have proud liners..with lips to hold the scales...
they have Mammoth ivory scales..yup mammoth ivory!
great file work...
silky smooth action and lock up..
they are stunning..
awesome...

As soon as my students take some pictures I'll get it up here...

they are absolutely beautiful..
I see Bob Lum tanto bladed Guntings in the near future..
Ed Schempp damascus Guntings with warncliff blade...

be safe

Good thing I don't have to talk, cause right now my mouth is hanging wide open with liquid dripping out.

Dear Bram,
For me, the Gunting is an extraordinary knife. It's no secret. When I first saw it, I said, "what an ugly knife!". After a while I begun to understand it and I became fascinated by it. I think that the custom Gunting, with Damascus blade and Mammouth ivory scales and fileworked liners aso. is a well deserved recognition of a great knife.
Though I'll never lay my hands on such beauties (hellas, I'm still saving for a "common" one) :( I'm glad they exist. :)
Congratulations and enjoy them :)

Bram,
Thanks for your creation of the gunting and your concepts. Sal thanks for seeing the value of this blade and for producing it. Owen thanks for making this a custom! and expect many orders!
Now the long wait begins. That should give us guntaholics a chance to save our money for another custom!
