I thought I would share a custom handle I had made by Roman from the Czech Republic which goes by 'MyKnife' on the Spyderco forums and you can check out his other customs on his website http://www.spyderco-noze.cz . I asked him to fashion a Delica 4 with Cocobolo wood handles after seeing what he did with an Endura here. I got my Delica in the mail just last week and I was floored by the quality of workmanship and how beautiful it turned out.

Roman was kind enough to take pictures of making the Delica at my request since this is my first custom and it really shows the pride and dedication he puts into his work. He was always in constant communication with me and giving me updates. The Delica 4 started out as a G-10 version. here's a few pictures of him working on the knife:

Beautiful work! Next to a 25th Anniversary Delica that is the best looking one I have seen. Enjoy your sweet Coco D4:)

nice work,

Maybe sand and polish the clip too, that thing will pop.

Awesome looking knife. That changes the one thing I dislike about the Delica and the Endura. The stock handles bother me.

soo awesome! Looks like the handle got a little fatter too. Should fill up the hand a little nicer.

I agree, you should polish the clip. Then it would be brilliant!

What Delica did it start out as? I'm guessing one of the G10 models, since it has a steel back spacer? Looks amazing!

That is really lovely.

I'd say polish the clip, not a brushed finish.

Very nice indeed! Cocobolo is a beautiful wood. I work with it once in a while making guitar parts and the dust is highly toxic to some. I learned the hard way and got sick as a dog. Now I wear a mask.

Awesome mod!

I also have to agree with the "polish the clip" crowd, then post more pics of it! ;)

I may have to look into polishing that clip, I think you are all right, it would match the rest of the knife very well
