Custom dha project

It's nearly done, except for permanent assembly and scabbard work.
Pattern welded dha, 1084 and 15n20 with sterling mounts and stabilized cotton wrap. Sorry in advance for the iffy pics. This one was done as a practice run for the customer's larger dha, and when he saw it he asked me to make a daisho of sorts and match the mountings on the two swords.

Thank you! I'm waiting for it to warm up enough to forge out the long one without delaminating on the -15f anvil lol. Gotta love a Vermont winter

Very cool! The decoration on the tip reminds me of the swords in Pirates of Dark Water from back in the early '90s.
 
A lot of dha from south asia have the squared tip in various formats-not sure why, as I have seen some with decent Thai style points as well. This one originally had some scrollwork where the little nub at the tip is, but apparently the function of such scrollwork is to snap off at the slightest provocation and startle the dog.
