I contacted Mr. Wilson who supplied the steel to Mr. Dula for the custom knife I purchased. Total information screw up!! The steel is 52100 ball bearing steel as used by Black Jack & marbles. No spark plug steel nor 1011 - Thankfully. I was really impressed with Mr. Wilson and his going out of the way to help me. He also contacted Mr. Dula to correct the info. error. Thank you all for helping me run it down. So in the end I'm satisfied with both the steel, the knife and the maker.
