Total information screw up! I contacted Mr. Wilson who supplied the steel to Dula. It is 52100 Ball Bearing Steel as used by "Black Jack Knives" and "Marbles". Thankfully it wasn't 1011 nor spark plug steel. Mr. Wilson was very helpfull and contacted Mr. Dula to clarify the steel information. So in the end I'm satisfied with the knife, the steel, and the maker. Thank all of you for the help you gave. I would have never been able to locate Mr. Wilson without this board. Thank you again. Best regards and have a great day.

Finally, what a relief !! It's just a flattened ball bearing after all.

rlinger, Yes I did. Mr. Wilson makes knives in Weirton (spelling???) West Virginia. He is an extremely nice man and a pleasure to talk to. He went out of his way to help me, made several telephone calls (on his dime) to correct the information Mr. Dula had, and true to his word - called me back and gave me everything I needed to know. Hope to see his knives someday. Hope this helps.

He then is in the northern panhandle and close to Wheeling, a couple hundred miles from me. Thanks for the info.
