Hello,
Im a new member (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=720360&page=13) that previously lurked but gleaned from the wisdom and years of experience finally went gold. I have owned the controversial TB1 for two years with the intent on Bushcraft not Rambo (Mall Ninja) realism in my hand
A little about myself: Im active duty military with 12 years of service, avid outdoorsman and I absolutely love knives. My passion for knives started in Manama, Bahrain in 1998, when I served for two years alongside Gurkhas and became fascinated by their legendary history and Kukri.
Humbly request you impart your great wisdom (BTW, I will not transition to another knife
) on the following:
What would your custom edge recommendations be?
I would like to customize the edge of this production knife, primarily the chopping edge; the curved edge of the knife is a little too thick for my taste. A more gradual wedge/grind would be ideal or higher grind on the primary cutting edge would make it cut more like knife vice an ax. Its difficult to sharpen with my Lansky kit.
Who would you entrust/recommend for this custom work and what is a reasonable price?
I would like to send it out soon, prior to my next excursion.
