well.. well ... a lot of conflict on the custom shop issues and related discussions and some carry over to other threads.. here i have why and reasons on my part,, in another thread 'trax said some things which i think some of you others may also share similar thoughts... i answered him and it that answer is here
no one has ever said i am any kind of spokesman and i dont present my self as such..
i speak up for them were i think i can offer some of my thoughts and reason
BUT it is MY thoughts only not theirs...
but to speak for them...no not at all..
now i could be bought as company spokes man for
... well i will leave at i can be bought ...
take up for them heck yes.. you dont take up for your friends?
and yes i talk with any one i can about things i want to know more on ... dont you ?
i would not call any of the conversations or folks i know at buck inside contacts, i have met them and like them and
some i consider friends and as such a lot of the conversation is not knife related... they happen to work at buck..
most of the conversations i have had of the last 6 mos has been for a story or series of articles for the news letter on the custom shop and knives as a informative exposé of how and why any custom knife is chosen or makes it to production .. this would have extended to the bcci knives also…
some of the information was on current or new items and on possible future items. much of it was on operations and how things happen ... and possible changes that only could happen,,, which many of you I am sure would like,,,
if you notice i have posted a lot of questions on things related to the custom shop and to what buck nuts want...
humm has any one wandered why?
what reason would i have to keep coming here with my questions and silly polls?
i get a lot flak for much of what i ask or imply.. yet i ask any way..i keep prodding you to speak up on what you would buy ..
again why would I ?
and none of you wanders why.. cant any of you add one and one or see past your own thoughts of oh he is jest bragging? Or wants them to make his choice in a custom?
if no one has any idea of what you want or
it is to hard to find it as it is in so many different locations it can not be found!
i now don't think i will write those articles as the responses here seem to say to me –
none of you really care unless you can have the one YOU want in your hands.
As to the other conflicts going on here and the flak I got ..
it is only that so much conversation concerning the custom shop that has taken place here of late ... up set me ...
and i KNOW it is not that way at all there..
so i offered what i thought was reasonable thought on the topics, calling for calm and reduction of mean language..
all i got was anger and mean harassment back...
that has now expanded and is directed to most any thing I post..
even to teasing my brother …
the current actions of some are making many uncomfortable reading or even being here… and now i am an insider... like an insult...
I have now given up trying to help nudge conversations of complaint to a kinder tone…
Also have now given up on trying to nudge conversations to tell what is desired in a custom in one location were any one that wants to know can find it easly, what might sell and possibility consider ways to make it less of a expense to own one
You win, guys are on your own.. it is not worth it to me any longer …

...I think Joe heard a lot of the good and the bad from many of us...I wasn't too enthused about what was going on in the Custom area myself and I was doing the "Hopalong Shuffle" quite briskly thank you...My tirades were tempered a bit but the heat was there all along...
