I'm looking to find a nice, but not too ridiculously prices, 3/8" ferro rod

right now Sagewood's delrin rig looks the best balance of everything I need

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I could find high end/nicer 3/8" ferro rod firesteel?

thx!

p.s. I wasn't sure where to post this, whether in General Knife Discussion or here. Figured the people here are generally more inclined to my tastes, but if staff thinks it's better elsewhere, please do what's necessary

Yup, picked up a couple blank ferro rods with precisely that idea in mind

In this thread I'm looking for something special, beyond what I'd be capable of creating, let alone imagining

Buck sells one with a multi tool. The rod works fine.

I got this at Blade show a few years ago. Also has magnesium rod. You can scrape some magnesium if needed, whittle off some of the wood handle or both.

I've found a couple with fatwood handles that look pretty fine, similar to the one your have, similar concept using them

but for simplicity's sake, I still like Sagewood's

I just know from seeing them over the years that people have some pretty cool ferro rod holders out there

thank you for the suggestion! I have a couple what I think of as "standard ferro rod kits," one almost exactly like this Buck (the Buck is, as usual for my luck, nicer than what I have but not by quite enough to justify its purchase)

this Buck item would, however, make any woodcraft fan a fine stalking suffers, no?
