Custom File Work

This is my first time in the custom forum, so a big hello to everyone. Recently, I've been itching to have some custom file work done on a couple of Benchmade 42's (balisongs). But, I don't know the first place to look to have something like that done. I'm only looking for some simple cross-hatching on the handles to improve grip and to make 'em look a little schnazzy. Experience has taught me that I can't do it myself. Who do I talk to for a job like this?

I appreciate any help. :)
 
There are a few out there that would do a great job. I have have work from Frank Recupero and Tom Stratton. I saw some of Bandits work at Blade. Any of those three and others will do a great job for you.
 
Thanks Bastid. I'm having a hard time locating any of those people. Frank Recupero has a webpage, but it's not available. Does anyone have any contact information for Mr. Recupero or any other custom makers?
 
Bastid or I will send you a phone number for Tom Stratton this evening. If you have an Blade Mag from last year he had a run of ads. in the Classified Misc. section. (keyword Fancy Work).

Thanks Hammer! I'd almost given up on finding a place to work on my knives. This is exactly what I was looking for.
 
I have been doing custom filework for Jerry Shipman, (knifenut on the forums). He has been very pleased with my work, and my prices. I have done 2 knives for him, one was a running vine and the other was a zig zag pattern I cme up with. I have pics of my work if you would like to see it.

I just came across this post . Yes , I would highly reccomend Chuck ( striper28) for the file work . His work is great and price is very fair . I will have some pics of both knives he has done for me up in a few days .

I posted about Chuck in the good ,bad and ugly a few weeks ago after my first knife . You will be pleased with his work and his customer service is first rate .
