I ordered a Gene Ingram Knife a few weeks ago and have seem to have gotton bit by a bug. It will arrive in Oct./Nov. so I decided to go shopping. In my travels I have found some real nice looking pcs. of interest and wanted to get some personal experience from other here. I am buying 4-5 knives as the arrival time will allow me to spread the funds out. Edmund Davidson,Ohare Knives,Mike Olive,TwinXBlades and Steve Johnson are the makers.By the looks of their pics and sites, they do spectacular work.

Thx. MPE

Hopefully you will get some time to post some photographs with descriptions and statistics as we always enjoy that stuff here in this community. :)

Most surely sunnyd. But I can't tell to much by the outstanding lack of response to the post.I do appreciate your post and will add pics when I get them.Unfortunatly,I was informed that one of the knives I ordered was pushed to December 2008.Oh,well.The way I am having it set up is I will get a new knife every 30-45 days if there are no delays.

Financially, I can't really afford to look at pictures of custom fixed blade knives, because... then I'd have to get one!

Zip7, What is your budget? You can get alot of customs for around $200 in a real nice steel and wood. You can also get production knives very close to the quality of customs for $125-$175. Here are a couple companies to check out: Dozier Knives,Ingram Knives,Bark River and ChaxKnives. It takes about 6 months to a year for most customs and 99% do not require payment until finished. You may find this easier to afford than buying production. Also, you will end up with a limited pc. this way as well. But,be careful! It will hook you and you will become addicted.
