Custom Folding Alpha?

Does anyone know if buck ever plans to make custom folding alpha hunters like they do with the 110's?

I have a custom 110 in ats-34, sambar stag and nickel bolsters and really like it allot. It (the alpha) would seem to be a popular folder if they would custom make them?

Don't know about future plans, but the BCCI put out a Limited Edition Folding Alpha in 2004. Handles are jigged water buffalo & 24K gold etching on the polished blade. Only 165 produced, & they are very sweet. Maybe some are still available?

You have a pic of that one Mick?
 
You might want to try some of the outdoor shops, or on-line sites. I know Buck has done some special runs for several of them. Take a look in the cutlery section of Bass Pro.. some really nice custom Alpha Folders there... pricey.. but nice!!!

Handle looks similar to the one they put on the little 2005 fixed blade alpha.

I was not able to get the '05 Fixed Blade, but I'm pretty sure they designed them as a matched set. I know they did that a few years earlier with a matched set of Mentors - a 470 and a 475. If I get around to it, I can post a picture of them....

and just as an FYI - I heard the other day that the upcoming issue of the BCCI Newsletter is going to have an article about ALL the past BCCI Annual Membership Knives....
