I noticed on the forums not too long ago that a member sent in a picture to crk and had them make a custom graphic on the non lock bar scale for them. I was wondering if anybody knew if I could send my small plain 21 in to get a custom graphic on the scale and if so how much does it usually run? I looked on crks website and didnt see anything. I was going to email them but figured Id ask you guys first :)

Are you sure they did it. I wouldn't think that CRK would do custom stuff. I know someone that had a couple mnandi's sent for custom scrimshaw work, but that wasn't CRK that did the work

I don't think they can do it, just because they won't put a Satin Finish on a blasted frame, and they don't do UG's on anything but Satin finished frames( I'm pretty sure).

It can however been done if you order a new one.
My best guess is to order a small 21 UG and send them a pic of what you want.

Just to kinda clarify what I was saying,It can't be done to a blasted 21,like what he wanted to send in, but he can definitely order a UG and have them custom
make a picture for him of his choosing( within their limits of course).I believe that is the only way.

As many of you have already seen, I had my "NCIS Sebenza" engraved by CRK, both on the front and back. On the back side ( lock side ), they will only do lettering and it was close to $35.00 for the lettering. On the front, I believe it was $60 per line ( I had 2 lines ). On a NEW knife from CRK, you have more options such as color's, while on an existing knife, you can only get a reverse contrast, or engraving and have it blasted over like I did. I guess if you get colors on a blasted ( existing knife ), the colors will bleed over so to speak. I wanted engraving on an existing knife ( the regulars were not being made anymore ). If you want a customized unique graphic, I believe the prices start at $100. So Basically, its like this:

New Knife From CRK: Colors available with any Unique Graphic engraving, wording, etc.

Existing Knife: Reverse Contrast ONLY, or Engraving done and blasted over, NO COLORS.

Prices are aprox. as I am sure they change from custom engraving to custom engraving and they may have gone up a few $$ since I had mine done while back, but its a good starting point for ya.
 
ok thanks everyone for the help, Just to clarify I dont want any color I was just looking to maybe get a punisher skull or something of that nature on my already existing 21. Ill call crk and get a definative answer on my particular wants.
