Custom Greco

Hi,need some input.I just got a Greco companion.It is in very good shape except some stains on the blade and it is very dull.I am going to be a SMKWs on Saterday and will have them sharpen it.I have some Bocote slabs to make scales for it.Would it be better to bead balst the finish or polish it?

These are not stainless. Ideally you should refinish to satin or polish. This is quite a lot of work. If you beadblast then you might want to spray it with a clear satin laquer as it was done originally.
