custom griptilian pictures

ordered a build your own griptilian for my sergeant who is retiring. did it in blue and black for the police theme, added text, and put our patch as an image on it. i ordered it as drop point with a thumb stud, but ended up coming as sheep foot/thumb hole, awaiting a reply to the email i sent about it last week. the patch came out pretty good, sorry for not having better pictures of it. the first picture still has the little paper behind the clip, sorry i've left the knife in the administrative assistant's office and she didn't remove it for the pics, lol. looks like benchmade's stock image for the build your own griptilian is blue and black now :cool: the blade isn't blemished in the second picture, i edited his last name out of it.

Wow, that logo looks great! It's a bummer that they sent the wrong blade - you'd think (hope) an error like that wouldn't slip through.

I think you should put your buddy's name on the knife rather than just "Buddy". ;)

lol, his real first name isn't buddy btw, but even his wife calls him that. the first time i customized one and got to the order screen, it showed the model being c550. i thought to myself, 550 is sheep's foot, let me get rid of this one and start over. when i started it again (on the old screen, it's changed in the last few weeks) the default was drop point and thumb stud, so i unchecked those boxes and checked them back to make sure i got it right and it still showed the model as being c550, so i figured all the custom ones were c550 with the c = custom, especially after i tried all combinations and still showed c550. the order screen showed all options except for blade type, opening mechanism and a couple other things, so i figured they were hidden values or something since everything else was listed. he's moving out of state in two weeks, so there wouldn't be enough time for another one before he's gone anyway, so i'm not really sure what could be done, but i'd still like to know what they have to say. a lot of the guys were interested in doing more of these, but these aren't exactly cheap so everyone would like to get what they order.
