Hi guys! I'm hesitating between a custom s30v griptilian and a paramilitary 2 from spyderco as my new edc!!

What do you think? Have you had any of these knives as edc and did you like it?

Thanks!

I have a normal Giptilian and a S30V Para 2, both are great knives. The Griptilian is my edc, I also like the blade design more for utility task, the para like most spydercos comes to a very fine tip which I'm always afraid will break in hard use. Though I have heard of many people hard using their Para2's and not having any problems so I'm probably just too paranoid on that front. Like I said both are great knives for edc, the Para is shockingly light so its is very easy to carry and that S30V steel is one of the favorites of the knife world.

I don't think you could go wrong with either, if you get a chance to handle them just pick whichever one feels best, if you can't hold either I will tell you in my opinion the ergos on both are just fine and I don't think either has a big advantage over the other in that department. Both are fantastic knives so its a tough call.

I have both, have carried & used both, and think they're both great knives. I like the feel of the Grip more, especially if doing a lot of cutting. The rounded and thicker handle just fits my hand more comfortably. The Para2 is thin and surprisingly light, which makes it carry more comfortably in pocket. The design also makes it a easier to choke up on the blade.

I prefer the Ritter Grip to the Para 2, but you can't go wrong with either knife. Also, at the moment the Para 2 is hard to come by and overpriced in my opinion at anything over $120...

You need both ! really, both are excellent knives . I have 4 para's and 3 Grips most used and carried knives in my collection .

I believe the pm2 has almost perfect ergonomics for my hand. That said, i carry my s30v griptilian often and use it often for weekend work. Both are great values for the money. The pm2 is the one I would keep above all others.

I have both I find my self carring the grip more , I say get the grip now then get a para 2 later

I've never messed with a p2, but I edc a grip in 154cm. I can tell you you won't be disappointed in a BM grip. They are simply a good edc knife. Ergos, blade, lock. The excellent customer service doesn't hurt either.

I have to warn you , once you get Grip it's impossible to stop playing with it .
