Hi,
I am from South Africa and I am looking to do some hand filing on the
spacer of a folder .Where can I get info on how to get those beautiful
shapes etc one sees on some knives

Just google the term " filework + knife " exactly as I typed it without quotes and you'll have plenty of reading and practical advice.
