Custom-Handled Puukko, Sheath

Not sure why, but I get a kick out of buying these Scandinavian blades, and then making a handle and sheath for them.

This is the Polar 95 blade. High carbon steel, and was about $17.

It needs a couple or three more coats of Tru Oil.

Thanks for the compliments.

It's always a challenge getting the wood finish right. I haven't figured out how to get a high shine on it, but I think it will look OK with a satin finish. More pics to come.
