Hey everybody! I'm new to blade forums and new to becker knives. Just got the becker necker and the becker eskabar. I'm happy with the micarta handles they sell for the bk11 because thats just going to be my camping, fishing and outdoor knife but I would love to madge my bk14 my primary hunting knife and the plastic orange or black scales they sell just look kinda boring.. Anybody knower of someone who makes custom scales for the eskabar?

Izula micarta fits with just a tiny bit of sanding. Tommy the Who makes wood ones.

Ya I thought about the izula micarta ones but would like one that covers the hole too.. wood ones would be awesome. thanks for the info!

I modded a set of TKC izula scales for my 14. I didnt like how they looked so I put them back on my izula/ Also not worth the cost to mod IMO.

Its not to hard to make your own...These were the first set I ever made. If you can't name your own you might have to contact a maker here instead. I don't know of any 14 micarta that covers the whole handle.

ya i thought about doing that too but i was afraid to pay the 40+ dollars and not like them plus i dont have an Izula to put them on if i didnt like em. Thank you for the picture!

Not had to make at all. I knocked these out in about 7 hours...I made my own micarta but you can buy pre-made slabs. I ground them with an old disk sander and Dermel tool. Not hard at all and I learned alot along the way.

A guy here makes/made aluminum and some type of plastic scales. He machines them on a CNC mill, I have a set with a nise swirl pattern ,they are a nice and they fill your hand well but are not so large that they are hard to warm up with your hand in the cold. I don't use mine anymore really, let me know I might be persuaded to part with them. Try searching for them, google works wonders.

lol ive been looking a lot on google thats what brought me to the bladeforums actually.. I did see some pics of a few different types of those CNC ones on an old thread on here and LOVED them! How awesome would it be to have a CNC machine?!.. If you really dont use them anymore I would be really interested in that set you described.

Sh@rp used to make them. Haven't seen him around for some time though. Here's a set he made, that were gifted to me:

ya SH@RP that was who I seen made them! man he does some great work, those look awesome!. I looked at his profile and he hasnt visited the forum in a year or so it looked like. I think im going to buy another bk14 and try making some wood ones like CamH and cschol did. Im sure it makes it special having made them yourself but im still obsessed with those CNC made handles. Got to find me a set of those bad boys!

This is the link to the scales that Sh@rp made in aluminum. I don't think they are available now, but if curious you can see them as they were.
