Custom Horizontal Sheath for Busse

Here is a custom sheath I made for a Busse.

The pouch for the stone and steel is separate and can be removed. This set up is to be worn horizontal in the small of the back, and drawn by the right hand.

Wish I was as handy with leather and kydex. I'm at the mercy of our sheath makers, not that there's anything wrong with that.
 
I can see this type of sheath becoming more and more popular. Particularly for those that carry a gun on their strong side hip or those, like me, who have a love handle problem. :) I'm thinking of getting one made for my SAR4.

Yea, this works well for being out of the way. It can be a little hard to insert the knife back in. I personaly like a crossdraw set up worn over the left pocket and pulled out with the right hand.

Seems to me you'd be able to flip the stone pouch to the other side and wear the sheath as a cross draw.

I'd be interested to try to carry my SAR 5 like that in the woods......
