Hi all, I have spent several days gathering info on this knife and the more I learn about Mr. Powers and his knives, the more impressed I become. I just purchased this knife used from the original owner who picked it up at a gun show several years ago. The sheath he gave me didn't come with the knife and is pretty much garbage.
The knife has mosaic pins and green dyed spalted maple burl scales that have a red spacer between them and the tapered tang. I believe the steel is ATS-34 but I'm not 100% certain. Most of his hunters use that steel and it is definitely a powdered metal given the texture. Looks almost the same as my VG-10 blades with that powdery appearance. It isn't polished as deep as I would like but I don't know if that has something to do with the steel or not. Blade is hollow ground and razor sharp and the file work on the spine is well executed as well.
Overall I would give the knife an 8 on a scale of 10.
