custom inlay/ custom material

Hello,

I have question about inlay for sebenza/inkosi. I like the look of inlayed handle, but Im not fan for the added thickness. Is realistic to buy inlay model, and then add own inlays, with unique material that is made to same level with titanium handle, or is there any problem in this sollution?

Doing that is likely to void the Chris Reeve Knives lifetime warranty, but it seems possible. Note, however, the pockets are not very deep and if you use the same 3M VHB tape to bond your custom inlays, the thickness of your custom inlays would need to be only a few mils thick or they will stand proud from the frame/handle. So think about something the thickness of heavy paper card stock- would your inlay material be durable at that thickness (0.050 inch)?

You are right, too much fuzz for not that good idiea. I will probably just purchase plain one and than maybe upgrade do full carbon side from CUSCADI.

I know, but Im from europe and due to shipping and taxes, is cheaper to buy PJ here and get made custom scale. It is just slightly cheaper but I can get much nicer carbon material.
