Custom inlays?

Question for the group. I had my first successful deer hunt this past December. However, the antlers were a bit broken, and not a good piece to frame. I thought about how cool it would be to have the antlers turned into inlays for a CRK or two. Anyone know if there's any precedent for this? Am I crazy or could CRK make this happen?

I don't believe CRK would do it. There was someone on here that did some custom ones(don't remember the material) for his own knife. Maybe check the service sub forums .

CRK will likely not take that project on because of the risk of working with customer supplied materials. Also they have a ton of 31 orders to work through already.

CRK will not do this. They even stopped with mammoth because they could not get mammoth in the Quality that is s expected for a CRK.

I know the likelihood of CRK doing this is low, but it wouldn’t hurt to just call and ask. I know of a guy that sent a sheet of fatcarbon CF to then to have some 21’s made with custom inlays somewhere around the end of last year. He had them made for the groomsmen in his wedding I believe. So, there may be a chance.

Outside of CRK, there’s a guy on Instagram that makes custom scales and has done custom CF inlays that goes by shepherdcc that might would be willing to take on this project for you.

Well that’s actually very disappointing that all of that went down in that thread. But, I personally have several scales from him for a Hinderer, a couple of ZT’s, and various Spyderco models that I have been very happy with. I know I may just be one guy, but people on IG seem to be pleased with his work lately. There was one time where my wait time got pushed back some for a couple of reasons, but all of my other interactions have been fine.

Shepherddc has a good on again-off again routine, and he's very slick, you got lucky.
