Custom Ironwood Buck 110?

Perhaps you all can help me. I would really like a Buck 110 with Desert Ironwood scales, nickel bolsters, and premium blade steel (CPM S30V, CPM D2, or similar). I saw the Cabela's Alaskan guide version, but I wasn't a fan of the coated blade, brass bolsters, and logo on the blade.

Will the Buck custom shop do special orders such as this, or...

Can someone recommend to me a good custom maker that would take on a job like this for a reasonable price.

Thanks for any help.

I'm sure that the CS could do it, they did a 111 for me in ironwood, but that's a long story. All you could do is call and ask I suppose.

There are forum members that do a beautiful job of rehandling knives, but I'll leave it to them to contact you if they are interested.

I do wish that the CS would add to or change their steel and handle material options. I have three from the CS and the only thing that would tempt me to order another is some new options and Desert Ironwood would do the trick.

I've had the same challenge in the past. A route you could take is to get the NS/premium steel knife you want and then send it out to get re-slabbed.

Finding the NS/premium steel you like will be harder than getting the iron wood done.

Welcome HKB . I thought Iron wood was a option with the custom shop but I haven't looked at that site in a while . Another option, Cabela's offered a 111 w/ Iron wood slabs and std. steel blade and I think it was a NS frame . One could purchase that then get one of the knife craftsman to do a S30V blade switch for you . One of Buck's x-employes does a lot of work for many here and is good and he has a lot of the items your looking for . Well, the nickle silver frame and Iron wood--yes, the S30V blade I don't know . But you can try him at 619-561-2442 . Good luck and let us know how it goes . DM

Thank you all for your input and help. I will give the custom shop a try first, and see what they can do for me.
