Custom Kalinga Pearl

Picked this up earlier in the week at a pawn shop.
Sheath, no box or papers
I’ve owned a lot of Kalinga’s over the years , never seen a pearl one in person.
Anyway Buck can give me any info on it ?
Everything looks correct , doesn’t appear to be a rehandle
Google turns up just a a couple examples.

Everything about your knife is legitimate. Those were made in the original Custom shop which ran from about 1980 until 1992(?). Custom knives made to order. The "00529" is how knives were numbered in the Custom shop. It is not the 529th pearl Kalinga but I believe it it more of a "sequence" number meaning the 529th Kalinga made in the Custom shop. I could be wrong about how the numbering system worked. I have a matching pearl Akonua in my collection. A good find.

That is a beautiful knife. I did not know that it was possible to find genuine mother of pearl in sizes that large, let alone enough to do multiple knives. I assume that it is not acrylic?

Don’t think they would have used acrylic in the custom shop
Feels like pearl on the “tooth test”
Plenty of texture, acrylic would be smooth

Found a COA online dated 1984 that states "Mother of Pearl from Philippines".
