Handmade by Watson Knives in Austin, TX. Flat ground CTS-B75P steel, Paul Bos heat treat, satin finish and polished convex edge. Handle is sculpted carbon fiber with mosaic pins.
The sheath was done by Jim Ryan- burgundy horsehide with ring lizard and black frog trim. It is of full-welt construction with a floating welt retention tab

The star of the show is the full house custom built by bestselling author & Army SOF veteran, Dalton Fury. He comes from a unit that has shot more .45 ACP through the 1911 pistol than any place in the world, has also trained under master pistol smiths like Jim Garthwaite. The pistol is accompanied by a custom display box and a JR leather holster which matches the knife sheath.

These meticulously handmade pieces are being raffled off at $5 per ticket to support veteran's based non-profit organization, Elder Heart and their Mission 22 project. Mission 22 exists to shed light on the fact that an average of 22 US veterans commit suicide every single day in the US. I stand by these organizations proudly. Being a combat veteran, I understand that this problem is very real as I have lost brothers to suicide. I've also seen others start to go down that path, but recover and that's what Elder Heart is all about- healing and awareness.

22 a day? That is just appalling Joe. Even worst that it gets no news coverage when trivial crap does.

Saddens me a lot. :( I am not a prolific maker and it might take a little while but I will build a knife to donate it to that worthy cause.

Thanks for helping bring attention to this.

Yes, if there was anything else killing over 8000 people every year in this country, there'd be outcries left and right. This year alone we are tragically slated to lose more veterans from suicide than we have had combat losses, during the entire duration of the War on Terror.

The number is very real and that average of 22 comes from the findings of a lengthy Veteran's Affairs (VA) study published a few years back.

Though another official study is not yet complete, there are some recent estimates that suggest the number may be closer to 30 daily.

Very important for all of us to do whatever we can and EVERY little bit matters. I'd be honored and thankful to see you do a piece as well!

That number is very tragic and these wonderful pieces are truly a wonderful jesture

Thank you
