Hi guys. I ordered a nice 5160 carbon steel knife from nepal and it works great in chopping and all around bushcraft. It looks like the tom brown tracker. But the handle is very bad. I feel all vibrations and they use glue on the handles (and fasteners too) so the handles dont stick onto the knife too well and the middle part (the full tang thru handle) slides out of place when chopping.

I need new handles and was wondering if you could recommend a custom handle maker I could send the knife to? And which handle material do you think is the best for chopping & bushcraft?? thanks!

handles are made of rosewood by the way

I am from Long Island (nassau county), new york

hi sorry for bump but anyone have suggestions for a good custom knife handle maker? thanks!

You can head over to the knifemaker's discussion forum here. Also, not knowing where you're located makes it kinda hard to suggest a knifemaker, as there's talented guys pretty much all over the place :)
