I have been reading the forums for the past 3 or 4 months, but never posted, been to busy learning, doing research on knifes I wanted. I bought 2 esee knives Izula 1 and 2, benchmade 940, 950,Activator Plus and an Ahti fron ragnar. If this keeps up I will need intervention,(preferably from one of those knife models..hint
). oh, and a wicked edge sharpening system on order.
today I made my first kydex sheath for a filet knife, while it turned out ok, I did learn something.. clean out drill holes on inside before putting in rivets, else it leave a slight gap. I must have forgotten that while I was reading all the posts on how to make the kydex sheath. I did wash it out as suggested, just didn't think to scrape the holes to get bits still connected from drilling.
now on to the reason I am writing. I have a Benchmade Activator Plus with the Winewood Handles and I find them to be a bit small, so I was thinking I would find someone to replace them with desert ironwood and make them larger on the sides so they fill my hand a little better. I need to know who could do that and an estimated cost. the cost can be in a private email if prefered.
