Custom Knife ID

I need help in identifying a custom knife. It is a "fighting" knife, 7" blade, mod. bowie pattern with top edge sharpened for about 5". Handle is grey micarta. Blade is marked (looks like) "Dent" with a dagger below. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Ed, Welcome to the forums. Glad to have you aboard and I hope you enjoy the people here.

I love it when I have info on these. (I do read these posts, but sometimes do not have a clue).

Douglas Dent has been a part-time maker since 1969. He is from West Virginia.

I do not think he has a web site, so email me if you want his street address and phone number. As always, I do not post this information unless I know the maker well enough to realize that posting it in public would not bother them.

Thank you for the quick reply. I thought the knife may have been made by Mr. Dent, but could not be sure. I have his contact info from an older copy of a Custom Knives book. I look forward to following these posts and learning more...
