Custom Knife makers in Virginia Area??

I am looking for a knife Maker in Virginia Area that might concider taking on a student. I know its a long shot, But I live in the Virginia Beach Area and really REALLY want to learn to make knives and B/C of restrictions in my home life, Can't travel to another state for the duration of a school. Thanks allot

There are two of the best knifemakers in Va. that are member of the NC guild. Barry and Phillip Jones, try getting their info from the North Carolina Knifemakers Guild website.

Thats a little far from the beach. Im orignally form Portsmouth Va. There is a guy in hampton that post here and I cant remeber his name right off hand. Keep scanning the posts for him he has his location listed. U could e-mail him and see if he is avalible. If I come across his name Ill send it to U.
