New to the forum...so hi all!

I have a piece of oak from my grandfather's 100-year-old desk and I'd like to find someone to make me some custom knife scales.

I'd like something classic, like a Case or GEC, but a locking folder with a pocket clip. Something in the 3-4" range.

If someone could cut scales for a like a Bugout, I would be interested in that too.

Thanks!

Great idea, I am sure you can find someone on here to help you out. I had one of my gramps splitting mall handles made into chisel handles and a dozen pens.
I give them to family when something special occurs.
My son is starting as a schoolteacher this fall and I presented him with one recently.
Hope it works out for you.

We had some wormy chestnut from a family grocery store in southern WV. My brother had a friend at work turn out some ball point pens.
It's awesome of you to do that. Hope you post pics back on here someday.

You might also try emailing Ryan (deathofallthings), who does some excellent work, although I've never used him. If you Google his handle, you will see some of his work and recommendations of others.

There's not many who work on pinned construction knives... Maybe @Bill DeShivs can do it though, or know who can. The oak will need to be stabilized before the work is done.
