I was at a fairly small knife show here in Taiwan today. The show was attanded by some great knife makers (Japanese mostly), even though it's far from a big date on the knife world calander. It's a big improvement on last year and there are good hopes that next year will be a "proper" knife show
I was there for one main reason though, to see my good friend Jimmy Chin and have a look at what goodies he had with him. There was only a few finished blades that he brought with him but he had a good selection of "blanks" there. Some from before his "JS" days up stuff from a few months/weeks ago.
My apologies in advance for the rubbish pics but the lighting wasn't the best and I just had the old point and shoot camera with me.
This is the selection of blanks he had with him, there are small/medium hunters, daggers, bowies and some Chinese style spear heads as well.
This some of the nicer damascus I saw, in person this was a really interesting pattern. I'm more of a raindrop or ladder man my self but this was real nice.
One of his daggers from his JS days, still not finished
I really like the damsucs on this one but he just wasn't parting with an unfinished blade.:grumpy:
This is a really nice blade, I think most of you will be familiour with this blades "brother" as it was used on his MS dagger. This blade was nearly used for that knife but alas not. (he wasn't letting me have this one either :grumpy
