I was at Mountain Equipment Co-Op this afternoon, and I handled a Laguiole and an Opinel, both of which had corkscrews, and neither of which was particularly impressive. It got me thinking, though, that I might like to have a custom knife along the same lines. So, I'm thinking 3-4" of blade, and a serious corkscrew.
After abandoning the idea of the French knife, I thought about a SAK. However, I already carry a SwissTool Spirit in my bag, so I would feel a little silly carrying a SAK just for the corkscrew. I already get enough teasing for carrying the bag, and having a knife for every occasion. Maybe I just need a nice corkscrew to tote around. Any thoughts on something nice?
