I found a photo of another Beaver Knife on top of the box it came in. Unfortunately, the writing on the side of the box was too small to read other than the company name "Beaver Knives". John
Interesting, indeed. I had not seen one and so I did some Googliing of 'Beaver USA'. Found sold models on AZ custom knives and this blurb:
"This design - which allows you to retain the knife with your hand open/fingers splayed - was patented by Sonny Guiler in 1980 and the knife has the patent number stamped on the back of the blade along with the Beaver logo. "
