Custom Knifes

I noticed that Busse has been selling al ot of custom knifes at the Ganzaas. I'm not a big fan of the custom knifes, I like users, and these are to nice for that. Does anybody actually use the custom knifes or are most of them "Safe Queens".

The handle materials on most customs are a big turn off for me.

I would agree with this to an extent. Sometimes the custom handles are too wide and there's little texture to them so they are slippery. I have had a few that were just not for me as they were too big for my hand.

The only custom I use is my OG Culti. It's a great user.

+1, in most cases.

notable exceptions: I did like those Puzzle handles though, and I think some of the giraffe bone ones on the little knives are pretty cool.

I just don't get the fancy-looking, not-so-grippy, too-pretty-to-beat-on handles on the big blades - but I don't get the whole knife collecting (and not using) part ether - so what do I know.

I use my customs for sure. The nice handles make it even more rewarding!!

My all time favorite has to be my HOGFSH custom ,,,,,,,, .33 thick with black an blue G-Rex mags(smoothed) .... Love how it feels in the hand, something substancial to hold on to,,,,,,,,, no hot spots . The next in line would be the tigerhide slabs on the SFNO LE , a lot smaller,,,,,, but well designed. I just prefer the bigger handles,,,,for me a better grip

Customs like this would be good users

but they could do with a D/C finish and be affordable....they are a lot more than the D/C FSH's at Knob Creek...a bit outside the pocket of many military users....but you can always "mod" a standard knife yourself:thumbup:

They are good "food for thought"....

Once I score a custom or two on Friday I'm gonna put that INFI to work! No question about it.
