Does anyone make these and how much are they? I finished 3 kits from Jantz with good results and am looking for my next project. I want to make a knife for my uncle to be used for deer skinning and hunting, but the blades I have seen from Jantz and Texas Knifemakers supply are out of 440c, 6-A, vanadium, etc and I don't know what those are exactly. I was wondering if any smiths do a a D-2 4" to 5" drop point blade and full tang that come pre-drilled, heat treated, etc, like the kits do. I can get the pins, handle material, etc, but am looking for a finished blade that I can finish like one of the kits (ie put on handle, guards, etc and shape handle). I don't have the tools or know how to make my own blades, and going to a custom smith was suggested to me. thanks for any info!

Taz.... I would be interested in doing that. Check out my site so you can see some of my work. Drop me an email and I'll draw up some designs.
