Doug has always been one of my favorite makers and I always make a visit to his table when attending a show such as the Knifemakers Guild show.

My latest acquisition of one of his knives is this nice gentlemans lockback folder.

This knife is nicely engraved with scroll work and carved eagle and lynx by Jeff Flannery.

This next piece is a liner lock with pearl inlays with gold trim and carved damascus blade with some engraving by Doug. The thumbstud has a small Ruby.

Doug is well known for his large fighters and Bowies with the most incredible grinds to be found anywhere and this Sub-Hilt piece is no exception with the blued guard and butt on a handle of Jade.

Whoa...

Amazing knives with such diverse styles. From lockbacks to sub-hilts, is there anything he can't do? Really impressive work. I can't stop eyeballing that fighter.

Great photo's too! I assume you took them?

Is this the same fella that makes the black powder long rifles?
I saw some guns at the Moran hammer-in last October with the name Casteel on them.......fantastic!
Great knives.
