Folks,
Over the past couple of weeks it's been my distinct pleasure to correspond with Rick Carignan (RA Carignan on the forums). Rick is fairly new to the forums but has been involved with knives for many, many moons.
Below are pics of 2 of his creations and his descriptions of them. Enjoy.
(1) Tanto Style - ATS-34 blade with a Spalded Maple handle and
scabbard. Blade is around 9 " Stock removal method.
(2) A Right Handed Bowie/Camp Knife. Handle is a three piece design of birds-eye maple, cocobolo, and a Tulage Nut Spacer.
(3) 10 " 52100 blade, forged, heat treated
by Bob Krammer. Guard is of Phosphor Bronze (from the propeller of a
W.W.II Tug that sank in San Francisco Bay). Blade Blackened by using Ferrec Chloride
Glad you're with us Rick.
BTW, I hope those of you who are submitting a design for the competition are working on it. Rick is, and I'll bet it's gonna be a killer.
