Anthony Lombardo wrote an article for Blade exposing some good deals out there, for the $. Knives that are exceptional values for the money. Ed Caffrey's small EBK knife for around $160 is a standout. The best price of any Mastersmith knives he previewed.
I'd like to see more of this.. any makers who have a very affordable line, or model of knife.

Jerry Fisk is offering a line of knives, made by Brazilian bladesmiths to his specs..

I'm starting on a line of "Economy Bushes". I recently ordered a fair sized batch of 1/8 inch 1095 to make them with. They all have hand forged integral socket type handles with woven cotton cord wrapping, sealed with shellac and frankincense rosin. They run about $20 per inch measured from the overall length of the knife.

These are the three I have so far.

"Bushete"
20 inches OAL.

Those are nice, Tai. I'm feeling a little "bushy".

David - Check out Matt Lamey's knives - a very good value.

Now call Tai before I do :D

They all started off as knives I made for myself! I had to sell the big "bushete" though. I'm keeping the other two to use around the shop, house and lane.

All of Matt Lamey's knives seem like a great deal too,... from everything I've seen or heard.

Burt Foster's Blue Collar hunters are a screaming deal and under $200 with a top quality hand-stiched leather sheath by the maker.

Time to start harassing Burt to kick out another batch:
