Custom knives?

I'm on vacation up to Lake Placid, NY and as always I'm looking for local, custom knives to add to my collection. Does anyone know of any shops around the Lake Placid area?

I did a quick search and found Chax handmade knives. Never heard of him, but there are TONS of great knife makers in the US!! Might be worth a look.
