Hi there,
I need to know who can make me a snap fit kydex sheath for my Swiss Tool? What I need is a sheath that leaves the top half of the tool exposed for easy access and a metal boot clip style belt attachment. No plastic belt loops or tek locks please. I saw a firearms instructer with a set up like this and it looked practical.

If anyone out there knows who can make me one, I'd sure appreciate the information.

Thanks,
Jared

Talk to Robert at Survival Sheath Systems.com all one word he's the man. You tell him what you want and he can make it.

I talked to him about it, but he only has plastic belt clips. If I can't find anything else I guess I'll go with that but I'd much prefer a spring steel belt clip, something I can slide through the loops on my MOLLE vest, or slide on my belt just as easily.

Hey Zombie...

You may as well go and buy another Swiss tool right now, and keep it in your ruck,, because sure as heck, your gonna lose your ST..

Theres a reason Robert doesn't use metal belt loops...

They don't hold worth heck...

My suggestion is, that if you don't trust the Tek Loks or standard kydex/concealex loops, then fasten it on with zap straps or duct tape...

Theres also other ways of doing it,, but easy access and a secure fit on your vest isn't always possible...

Thanks for the heads up. I guess it sounded like a good idea, but I might just use a MOLLE pistol mag pouch instead. Speed and ease of access is second when it comes to security.

Thanks again.

I've have Kydex sheaths that I've made for all of my multi-tools but the sheath I typically carry my Swisstool's in is a Bianchi model 20A 45 cal. clip sheath.

It's got everything you're asking for, oiled leather, spring steel belt clip and an open top.

After more than 3 years of fairly regular carry it still holds the tool nice and snug, even when shook upside down it won't fall out.

It works great for the Swisstool beacuse of the almost perfectly square design, other multi-tools I've had do not work with it.

Here's a picture.
