Custom Made Knife Handles Needed

DISREGARD THIS POST.

I have come up with a much better solution to my problem.
==========================================================

I have an existing production knife that is a folding dagger. One side has a partial false edge. I want to reprofile that side and sharpen the false edge. The problem is that after this is done, the sharpened false edge will be exposed by about 1/16"

I want to have custom handles made that will cover the false edge. The only thing is I need the handles to be made of a light weight material.

I would ideally prefer someone that could do the entire project, but isn't mandatory.

Can anyone recommend someone that can do this.

It's not as simple as just making new handle scales, in order to maintain the integrity of the knife, and keep the new handle scales from breaking, new liners, that match the profile of the handle material will be needed too. Essentially the entire folder, minus the blade, will have to be "rebuilt". I doubt that any reputable knifemaker would agree to only build/install handle scales on a folder, that are not backed up by the liners.

If the knife is screw type construction, the job would be doable, however, if it's of the pinned construction type, it's very likely that many parts would be destroyed in the dis-assembly process. Either way the job would likely cost nearly what a custom made folder would run.

I was wondering about the liners, but thought maybe since the handles would only need to extend 1/16" or so past the liner and would only be a certain portion of one side, that it may not be a big deal.

The knife is screw type construction.

I'm open to having new liners made as well if necessary, as I would like to see this project happen.
