I was wondering if anyone knows who could make a custom M4 blade for a CRK sebbie? And if you had any idea how much something like this would cost?

Hmmm. . .I'd give Chris Reeve first refusal.

Not to poo poo the idea but I doubt they would make a one off blade in a steel they don't use and haven't developed a heat treat for and done extensive testing of how that heat treat works. Just doubt they would put their name on something they haven't thoroughly tested.

But it would only be fair to give CRK the opportunity to say no. After the work is done it will still be a Sebenza.

+1. I can't see how making a blade from M4 wouldn't be any different then S30V. There is probably a couple well known heat treats for M4, you shouldn't have to develop your own.

Odds are CRK will say no and at that point I'd feel free to find another maker. But I'd want lock up on par with or better than a CRK Sebenza.

As a matter of fact there is a guy named Chase Axxin of Chax Knives that is making a Insingo style blade out of M4 with a opening hole rather than thumblug for me right now. It's pricey but I hear he does great work and he has been very good to deal with.
