Custom Maker JRJ Knives

Has anyone heard of John R. Johnson? His company is JRJ Knives based out of New Castle Pa.

New Castle is very close to me and I was thinking of stopping in...and I know if I stop in I'll buy something. I saw an old thread that seemed to be asking the same question but it didn't get much traffic.

I have spoken to him before at knife shows and hunting shows, he seemed to be a good guy and I have one of his older tactical fixed blades. It is ATS-34 and everything on it seemed to be well done. The wrap is still tight and the knife has held up to some cutting and moderate use. Overall I was pleased with the knife, dont remember what I paid for it though.

Interesting.
I live in Edinburg,PA,right on the edge of New Castle,and worked at Rockwell (leaf spring plant) in the mid-70's,fresh out of high school.
Had a foreman named Johnny Johnson,don't know if it's the same guy or not as Johnson is a fairly common name.
Will see what I can find out and post back what turns up.
