Check the Competition model for a good deal on an all-around user/thrower and the Warhawk if you want more sharpened edges and an even finer finish.
For a less expensive hawk with no poll, check the Shawnee from www.hbforge.com

Ture...but it's worth it. Besides, I suspect that you will be hard pressed to find a good custom maker without a significant wait time.... Finally, I would still look at 2Hawks. I believe that he can and does craft one-of-a-kind pieces on demand.

Check out my earlier post featuring Craig Camerer's work. Brian C posted the pics. Craig's hawks are true custom Hawks. He'll send you some sketches of what he does and you can send some sketches of what you want. I have a spiked hawk from Craig and I'm very satisfied. I can't verify if it's throwable...I believe in never throwing a weapon at someone who may pick it up and use it on you (unlike Mel Gibson and a few others, my script writer doesn't have my best interest at heart) If you want a true custom, check out Craig's work.

Also, Craig's wait time is usually under a month. His prices are competative against other makers on this board and his product finish is excellent.
Has anyone heard from BlueFlintHawk lately? Haven't seen him on the board in the past few weeks.
Do I have to badmouth ATC to get him to reply?
(disclaimer: I don't own an ATC 'hawk so I can't really badmouth them...And I have no reason to believe I would if I did own one...just trying to get the yung'n to respond to something)
