I am on the market for a tactical type folder, of the highest quality. I was originally thinking of a factory produced knife, but was advised to look thoroughly into a custom design as well, as one could be gotten for a similar price ot a high end factory knife anyways. I have looked over all the pre-designed custom made folders, if you will and some have caught my eye, but it is very difficult to look at them all. Well doing this I have come up with some ideas of my own of what I would like my knife to look like etc. All I would is a list of custom makers who would be more open to making a folding knife and helping me to design it from scratch. I know that many of the knifemakers I have seen designs from were more into fixed blade knives, and I need some help with who to approach with ideas for a folder. Thanks

Thanks, SENATOR. I appreciate that. JuAln, contact me and we can talk about your folder. A little off this topic, I am gettimg ready to release a new tactical, the Atrox. The Atrox was designed by Joel Pirela amd will be out soon.

Try Darrel Ralph, he has a new line of Frame Lock folders (EDC or Every Day Carry knives) and is always willing to make a few changes to satisfy a customer. That is what Custom is all about.

I can attest to the fact that the EDC from Darrel Ralph is a fully functional and well thought out folder. It is designed to fit both large and small hands and you can get one of 3 blade styles.

Justin, I also recommend looking at:
www.knifeart.com

but you should also check out Les Robertson's web site. Les is a particularly tactical kind of knife dealer. And he will answer your email questions. Just be patient. Have a look at his web site:
www.robertsoncustomcutlery.com

Have a real good look at his tactical folder page linked below. It will help you see the work of many fine custom tactical knife makers. Enjoy the search!
