I've seen scattered cases of people getting custom made micarta/G10 handles for the Fallkniven A1, but they never include the info where they had them made. Are there any stores/individuals that provide this service?

The A1 tang is different so it needs to be ordered by itself. Mike at Bark River will make you a Barkniven A1. Their contoured micarta handle on the Fallkniven A1 shank. But the remember there are 2 shanks. One for the Kraton handle that has a smaller tang so the rubber can go around it and another for the purpose of micarta, it is a bigger tang. But I do believe Mike can work with either. Give Bark a call and talk to Mike. Oh and I recommend not to get the black coated blade. If you are going to use this knife it will come off very easy. I like the satin far and away better.

soap, since you seem to be in the know, do you know if bark river can supply only the handles? so far my A1 handle holds up just fine, but you have to prepare for the coming decades and it would be nice to have a backup handle just in case :D I really feel like this was the last knife I truly needed.

come to think of it, there really would be a market for someone to sell cnc milled micarta handles for rehandling popular knives. fallknivens, cold steel trail master, recon scout, srk, etc.

Bark River usually does an occassional run of custom handled Fallknivens when current supply runs low, and they can squeeze it into their already hectic production schedule.

You would have to talk to Mike to find out if he would do an individual rehandle, but I know Bark River has outsourced most of their re-handle work, with the exception of warranty stuff.

You may find a re-handle on Fallknivens stock blade blanks designed for the kraton/rthermorun handles to be a bit small, but if you want to give it a try, you might have better success contacting some of the talented makers/craftsmen here on bladeforums.
